Welcome to the Mahanoy City  Public Library. We offer a variety of services,
    and we aim to please our customers.The Mahanoy City Public Library in cooperation with the Mahanoy City Borough 
and the Mahanoy Area School Board provides all of its citizens free access to the 
Library’s collections and technology so as to meet their educational, cultural and 
recreational needs. The Library has served the community in this location for over 
seventy years.

                As of 2013, the Mahanoy City Public Library  receives fifty-one  periodicals and two newspapers. Over 18,000 books make
        up the adult, young adult, and children’s fiction and nonfiction collections.
     
  
         
 
     
        
          
        Ten computers with printing capability are available for the public.
 
        Laminating and photocopying services are also available.
     
 
        

 
     An elevator to the second floor  was installed in 2009 . The second floor now contains  the  adult non-fiction book collection and a restroom. This area can also be accessed by  a new fireproof stairway which goes from the basement to the second floor.
 
   
      
       
      
        Adult and children’s programs, including the Summer Reading Program, are held on the second floor of the library.  
      The public is invited to join our children’s storytelling sessions.
     
   
      
       In 2011, new carpet and new metal blue and yellow shelving were installed in the children’s section( Huebner’s Corner).
